The Zurich University of Applied Sciences, funded by Germany’s Ministry of Family Affairs, recently conducted an academic study that found a whopping 10.4% increase in reported violent crimes between 2015 and 2016, a timespan that correlates with the height of foreign immigration to Germany. Between 2014 and 2016, the share of solved violent crimes attributed to asylum seekers increased to 13.3 percent from 4.3 percent, which is a “disproportionately high share compared with the state’s foreign population.“
Authors of the study also concluded that “92 percent of the additional crimes recorded could be attributed to the increase in refugee numbers.”
In July 2017, German Chancellor Angela Merkel rejected the call of the Bavarian Minister for an “upper limit” on the amount of refugee intake for Germany. In a broadcasted interview on June 16th, Merkel made here position on the issue known: “On the issue of an upper limit, my position is clear. I won’t accept it.” Clearly, Merkel’s position on the issue was not in the best interest for the German populace, as it has evidently introduced a heightened crime rate.
Mass immigration from foreign countries to Germany has greatly affected the day-to-day lives of the German populace, with approximately 10% of the European population has been born outside of European countries, effectively meaning that 1 out of every 10 citizens of Europe are non-natives. This poses a severe threat to the integrity of German culture and civilization, due to the inevitable result of multiculturalism that detracts from a country’s culture in favor of a festering cesspool of flavors and identities.
In the 2016 Saxony-Anhalt election, however, the Alternative for Germany party (a far-right political entity) enjoyed second place in the Landtag, receiving over 24% of the vote, and in the 2016 Berlin state election, they achieved over 14% of the national vote, making them the fifth largest political party in Germany. Anti-immigration policies are gradually growing in public support.
The study also found that North Africans migrants were more likely to commit a crime than their Afghan or Syrian counterparts.
At the end of the day, it is abundantly clear that importing large quantities of non-Western immigrations into one’s countries negatively impacts national safety. In the words of Lyman Beecher, leader of the Second Great Awakening, “What means the paying of the passage and emptying out upon our shores such floods of pauper emigrants — the contents of the poor house and the sweepings of the streets? — multiplying tumults and violence, filling our prisons, and crowding our poor-houses, and quadrupling our taxation, and sending annually accumulating thousands to the poll to lay their inexperienced hand upon the helm of our power?”
