In the aftermath of Trump delivering on his promise to move the Israeli Embassy to its true capital Jerusalem, Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri threatened that there would be “total Jihad” against America at “any and all costs.” This doesn’t sound good for the greatest country in the world, but Americans are more angry at his threats than they are terrified of them. Daily Times reports:
Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri on Sunday said America’s decision to shift its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem was evidence that negotiations and “appeasement” have failed Palestinians as he urged Muslims fight against the United States. In a five-minute video entitled “Tel Aviv is Also a Land of Muslims,” the Egyptian doctor who took charge of the global terror group after its founder Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011 referred to the Palestinian Authority as the “sellers of Palestine” while urging followers to take up arms.
Hate to burst your bubble Bin Laden 2.0, but Tel Aviv is not Muslim land. Any land you think belongs to you is owned by Israel, the country you failed to win a war against after you attacked them first. Seriously, what a sore loser.
President Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be shaken by Al-Qaeda’s idle threats; he hasn’t thrown any shade via Twitter and he hasn’t publicly spoken about the extremist group or its leader. It’s safe to say that Trump has more important things to deal with than a butthurt leader who has an unhealthy amount of hatred for the U.S and Israel.
The Al-Qaeda leader also mentioned how many Islamic countries were not Muslim enough because they failed to act in their best interests by not attacking Americans. He added that Bin Laden had declared the US “the first enemy of the Muslims, and swore that it will not dream of security until it is lived in reality in Palestine, and until all the armies of disbelief leave the land of Muhammad.”
Security is more beefed up now than it was back in 2001, so if Ayman al-Zawahiri is looking to repeat prior events, he’s going to have a hard time fulfilling his evil plot. If not even the President is worried, chances are this guy is all talk and no action.
Do you agree? Should we take what this A-Qaeda leader has to say with a grain of salt, or should we be on our guard? Let’s have a conversation.
