Lauren Hogg, the younger sister of David Hogg and surprisingly not verified on Twitter, has created special armbands for gun control advocates to wear to school, the March For Our Lives demonstration, and anywhere else you think you can wear it and not get embarrassed. The band, of course, is to be worn on your arm, and the symbol in the middle resembles a peace sign. But does it really?
The caption reads: “Inspired by the Supreme Court Landmark case Tinker vs. Des Moines. I’m starting #armbandsforchange Make your own and wear it to school or work to protest gun violence.”
Though David Hogg is seen proudly sporting the accessory for change, it’s not exactly difficult to understand why this tweet got deleted; from a distance, this “peace and love” armband looks like a swastika, a symbol predominantly used by the Nazi party from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. Users on Gab also noticed the similarities and in response, created the appropriate memes. Their captions are only slightly different than the original.
Communists wear armbands too, but they probably already know that seeing as all the liberals are begging for a communistic government.
Again, the tweet was deleted because this does not look good for their movement. On one side, if you go around looking like a crazy commie, everybody will say, “look! I told you! They’re a bunch of communists who want to steal our freedom! Kill em’ all!” On the other side, we have a bunch of people (including myself) laughing at the similarities between these SJW armbands and the Nazi armbands. I thought these guys hated Nazi’s, why are they trying so hard to subtly dress like Hitler?
Liberals like to hate on Trump for all of his politically incorrect tweets, but maybe it’s they themselves who need to think before they tweet.
