When speaking of America, the saying goes, “Diversity is our strength.” Now unless you’re an SJW, you probably don’t believe that this is entirely true. While a few different cultures do mingle well together and create great societies, not cultures were meant to live together. A great example of this is the Muslims and their culture. Nobody in the Western World really gets along with them, and yet we are all forced to put up with their antics in the name of diversity.
We are not alone in thinking these types of things. Earlier, Steve King (a congressional representative from Iowa) Tweeted that: Diversity is not our strength. Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban, “Mixing cultures will not lead to a higher quality of life but a lower one.”
He said this in response to a article titled “Hungary’s PM: Mixing cultures will not lead to a higher quality of life but to a lower one” He added in a second Tweet that: Assimilation has become a dirty word to the multiculturalist Left. Assimilation, not diversity, is our American strength.
As you can expect, ignorant responses flooded the comment section.
As the beady eyed slack jawed spawn of whatever has polluted your gene pool, you are Exhibit A why a family tree should fork and culture should be a bouillabaisse of the best of all people, you mentally stunted simian.
Bite me, mediocre white nationalist trash.
You are an utter joke, a mediocre stupid man who has accomplished nothing but hatred. Only reason you have got anywhere is because you are white. Go back to Europe.
Walter Shaub pretty much Tweeted a few novels to express his hatred towards the statement.
How are you employed, much less as a member of Congress?
Strength? For more than three decades, Jitender Dubey, has led life-saving research on parasitic diseases that devastate livestock and sicken millions of people around the world. Will your hateful tweet cure any diseases, Steve King?
Justin Sanchez oversaw research to develop life-like prosthetic arms with the dexterity enabling amputees to pick up small or fragile objects, and manages efforts to help brian injured soldiers form new memories. Will your hateful tweet help soldiers?
Hongwei Hsiao improved the safety of construction workers, truck drivers, firefighters, and police by researching and designing a new generation of personal protective equipment and industrial apparatus. What will your hate-filled tweet improve?
Lisa Jones helped low-income communities gain access to investment capital to fund healthcare centers, charter schools, daycare centers, housing, small business and commercial real estate projects. Who does your hateful tweet help, Steve King?
For some reason, he keeps adding more of these Tweets. Tn just the last eight minutes he added two more of these pointless responses. The long thread is supposed to end with his endorsement for the whole world being forced together in one country. “Diversity isn’t *a* strength, Steve King. It is our greatest strength. It gives us an advantage over other countries.”
No, it doesn’t. Steve King was correct in saying that it is assimilation, not diversity that is our biggest strength. We are a great country because we continue to grow in knowledge, we are far more advanced than a lot of other countries. We are a world power, and it has nothing to do with how many different cultures we can cram into one country. If you ask me, we need to be a little more careful about who we let into our country and who we let influence our culture, because if we’re not careful, we’ll soon become the next Paris France.
