Omarosa Manigault Newman (wow that’s a long name) was one of President Trump’s more prominent aides, but come January 20th, 2018, Omarosa will gracefully bow out from her position at the White House. At least, that’s what media outlets like CNN, and The Washington Times want you to believe.
“Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities,” Sanders said. “Her departure will not be effective until January 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service.”
“Other opportunities.” Like what? Omarosa has yet to comment on just what these “other opportunities” are, but rumors have been spreading around social media like fire. Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan tweeted the following:
“Sources say General Kelly did the firing and Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump. The word is that General Kelly had it and got rid of her. According to multiple sources Omarosa did not resign. She was even escorted out of he building and off campus.”
The Wall Street Journal is also reporting that Omarosa was “physically dragged and escorted off the campus.” The reason being that she and Chief of Staff John Kelly had a heated exchange of vulgarities and curse words. Though the White House still contends Omarosa signed a resignation letter, I would not be surprised if she actually didn’t. At the very least, reports of her being escorted out of the building due to a high drama level is likely not fake news. Here’s why.
She can’t handle criticism very well, and is quick to throw anyone under the bus to further herself in any project.
During a season of The Celebrity Apprentice, Piers Morgan told Omarosa that she was “not a real celebrity” and that she did not know enough high profile people to assist in the team’s assignment. Donald Trump laughed and added that he would not want Morgan as his enemy. Omarosa took the statement to heart and continued throwing people under the bus. In her eyes, it wasn’t her fault that she didn’t do her job very well, it was everyone else who held her back.
She brags about her success and pulls everyone down to raise herself up. Back in 2013, Omarosa was a guest on Bethenny, hosted of course by Bethenny Frankel. They were discussing branding, but things quickly became confrontational when Omarosa said of herself that she was smarter than most African American women, and that Bethenny was mediocre. She constantly interrupted the host, taking every opportunity to praise herself for any ounce of success.
She is confrontational. On a different season of The Celebrity Apprentice, Piers and Omarosa competed together on the same team, but they never once got along. Click this link to see a collection of clips where the two contestants go head to head. Often times, it was Omarosa who started each argument, and she always made things personal.
So did Omarosa really resign, or was she fired for being incompetent and disruptive? It looks like signs are pointing to the latter.
