CNN Prepares Response to James O’Keefe Leaks Showing Network Bias #CNNLeaks

CNN, The Ultimate Fake News Network

Since the inauguration, Fake News CNN has engaged in hours and hours of biased press coverage against Donald Trump. Cringeworthy liberal talking points from Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, and Angela Rye have kept audiences stunned by the level of bias carried out by a major news network against whatever Trump says or does. Now, CNN has prepared for fallout from an internal leak that will expose the truth. And they’re nervous.

On February 22, 2017, CNN put out an article calling Project Veritas Action guerrilla journalist James O’Keefe a provocateur and trying to discredit him ahead of the release of secretly recorded material he collected. O’Keefe appeared on television anchor Sean Hannity’s program and claimed that he was prepared to unveil a major leak from a mainstream media outlet, and he suggested it was CNN. Naturally, CNN responded with a hit piece.

As with previous hits on O’Keefe and his work, CNN regurgitated the same talking points used to undermine O’Keefe’s reputation:

Some of his so-called exposés have relied on misleading editing techniques. And an incident in 2010 landed him in legal trouble. After he was arrested at Senator Mary Landrieu’s office, O’Keefe pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for entering federal property under false pretenses. He was sentenced to three years of probation, plus community service and a fine.

Given his track record, many consider O’Keefe discredited, and not a serious journalist.

James O’Keefe promised to release “part one” of the leaks on February 23, 2017, at 10a.m.

O’Keefe’s leaks could be bombshells in the midst of a Trump war of words with CNN. Trump famously accused CNN’s Jim Acosta of being “fake news” at a press conference. It is well known that the network engaged in biased polling and commentary during the election that favored Hillary Clinton, while giving almost no airtime to the organization Wikileaks and its publication of the Podesta files. In these emails, the Clinton campaign defamed and humiliated various constituencies including Evangelical Christians, Roman Catholics, and Hispanics.

Wikileaks tweeted about the O’Keefe leaks:

After repeated fake news stories, false accusations, and bias, many are turning away from “The Most Trusted Names in News.” CNN has proven it can’t be “trusted” at all, and that its agenda isn’t factual journalism, but pushing liberal politics. CNN is central to the fake news epidemic that has overtaken the mainstream media.

Take, for example, one story of a fake poll that was produced by CNN surrounding Scotland’s vote to leave the United Kingdom. They sampled 110% of people and the poll showed a win for Scottish independence. In the end, the referendum lost. And there’s still confusion about how they came up with 110%.

One thing is for certain, the O’Keefe leaks will have a detrimental effect on CNN, who prides itself as centrist and neutral. Time will tell if the leaks hurt the network’s ratings. But they certainly will damage the credibility of “The Most Trusted Name in News.”
