On April 6th, Joss Whedon officially joined the anti-Trump movement #Resistance, which is basically a group of infantilized millennials who don’t have jobs. They like to destroy private property, block traffic, and post hashtag “Resistance” on Twitter as a show of their political sentiments.

We once loved Joss Whedon for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Toy Story. That is…until he tweeted a bizarre comment that had to do with Muslim Chechnya executing gay men.

Whedon claimed that this same practice is coming to America because of Trump.

There are glaring problems with Whedon’s basic assertion. Many Muslim countries routinely execute gay people by throwing them out of buildings or stoning them. To date, Donald Trump has not executed a gay person that we know of.

Instead of focusing on Trump, we wish Joss would comment on the Florida Muslim speaker who in 2016 called for the execution of gays and lesbians “out of compassion.”

Dare we say that Joss’s tweet suggests he is another completely-out-of-touch Hollywood celebrity? He joins a list of #Resistance actors, musicians, and comedians who seem to think their opinions matter.
