There have been many theories regarding the precise circumstances surrounding the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich. The official line is that it was a robbery gone wrong and that’s it. However, that story doesn’t quite add up because the assailants didn’t take any of the nearly $2,000 worth of cash and jewelry from Rich after shooting him 2 times.

Things got a little deeper when WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, used some murky implications, suggesting that the leaker of the DNC email cache was indeed Rich. The timing of the murder and the leaks made sense and the story-line is quite plausible. At this point, those who are paying attention will no longer be surprised by the tales of spying and murder that surrounds the cesspool that is DC.

What’s interesting is that the DNC, for whatever reason, was trying to blame the leak on the Russians. Whether this was intended to stir up some cold war sentiment or they think the public will eat any narrative they’re fed, I’m not sure. The sheer insanity of it gives me a genuine headache, leaving me to wonder what is happening to the future of U.S. politics.

Why do we know everything that came from the DNC is a lie now? According to Fox News, their FBI source is claiming that a federal law enforcement investigation found correspondence of 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments of that Rich shared with WikiLeaks. This proves he was the source and shatters the ridiculous Russian hacking narrative. This is the reason that the Seth Rich murder returns to the front lines today.

The outrage should be that the government didn’t want to pursue a deeper investigation in the first place and tried to make this whole thing go away. The DC police have refused to talk about the case at all and continue to claim that they have no leads.

Democratic Party Crisis Consultant And Spokesperson

The Rich family was given interesting help by the Democratic Party in the way of a public-relations crisis consultant, Brad Bauman. With this new information coming out of the media machine, Bauman was quick to make a statement that was clearly intended to continue the DNC narrative of events.

“We are a family who is committed to facts, not fake evidence that surfaces every few months to fill the void and distract law enforcement and the general public from finding Seth’s murderers,” read the statement.

Obviously the DNC wants to keep themselves as far away from this murder case as possible and is employing some all star consultants to help. The appeal to morality has often been used by Bauman to silence the discussion between the public and possible DNC connections. He has claimed that it is evil to use the death of someone to further politicize a situation. As the Seth Rich murder returns to the forefront of the media cycle, its getting more difficult for the Democratic Party to distance themselves and claim ignorance.

The company that Bauman works for is the D.C. based Pastorum Group. This company claims that they “will bring aggressive and creative solutions to today’s political and legislative fights.”

How does that mission statement coincide with representing a family who’s son was murdered under perfectly normal robbery circumstances? Do they not see that the hiring by itself of a crisis consultant for this situation implies that there is something suspect in the first place?

Will Anything Change?

If there’s one thing that doesn’t surprise me at all anymore its that something as clearly visible as the corruption when the Seth Rich murder returns to the forefront of attention probably won’t change anything. There’s a chance that things will change and we can all hope for the best but whoever called the hit on Rich will likely go free forever.

We can and should call for greater transparency and be thankful for those investigators who are out there looking for the truth as opposed to searching for evidence to help their particular side. Sadly, that is a rare gift these days and with so much political push to silence the truth, you have to seek it out yourself.

The trend of corruption and lies coming out of D.C. is nothing new but now it’s becoming more blatant. It’s time to hold people accountable for what they’ve done and taken part in. If nobody stands up for what is right, we’re all in for a long and rough ride. Now that the Seth Rich murder returns to the news-cycle, there may be a chance for some much needed scrutiny at the DNC.
